Your paperwork is the only part of your work they can judge before hiring you.
A homeowner holding three quotes cannot evaluate your crimping, your prep or your clean-up. They can evaluate the document in front of them, so that is what they use, whether or not they would admit it out loud. The document is doing more selling than anything else you send.
The second job it does is getting you paid. An invoice with a due date, a clear balance and a way to pay it gets settled faster than a number in a text, because there is nothing left for the customer to work out or look up.
How a document gets built.
-
Type the line items
Description, quantity, rate. Totals, tax and the deposit calculate themselves as you type, so the arithmetic mistake that quietly costs you a hundred dollars stops being possible.
-
It looks like your company
Your logo, your colors, your terms and your license number on every page, without you rebuilding a template from the last job each time.
-
The estimate becomes the invoice
Job approved, one press. You are not retyping a document you already wrote once, which is where most of the errors come from.
-
They pay from the document
The deposit or the balance can be paid from the estimate itself, which is the shortest possible path between agreement and money.
What you end up with.
One press to a PDF
Print it, save it, email it, or hand it over on a phone screen at the kitchen table. The same document every time, not whatever last week's file happened to look like.
What is not included, in writing
The line that prevents the argument in week three. Exclusions belong on the estimate, and having a proper place for them is what makes them get written.
Nothing quietly dropped
Sent, approved, invoiced, paid. The quote nobody chased is the most expensive item in most small businesses and it never appears on any report.
The price is on the page, not on a sales call.
It is part of the Look the part on paper package at $25 a month. That adds to Gold at $80 a month plus a $250 one time build fee, and comes included on Diamond at $215 a month. Every price we charge is published, and this one runs on a site we did not build.
Look the part on paper
The package this belongs to. Add it to Gold, or get it included on Diamond. It also runs on a website we did not build.
Gold
The site itself: a custom build, hosting, your domain, intake forms, a visitor dashboard and the answers assistant.
Diamond
Everything in Gold with no build fee, plus all four packages, monitoring, priority on changes and your numbers emailed monthly.
Month to month, no cancellation fee, and your domain is registered in your name. Full details on the pricing page, and the whole list of what we run is on the services page.
What this is not.
- It is not accounting software. It writes estimates and invoices and takes payment on them. It does not do your books, your payroll or your taxes, and if you already run something that does, keeping it is often the right answer.
- It is not job costing either. It will not tell you your margin on a job by pulling in material costs and crew hours. That is a much bigger piece of software at a much bigger price, and you should be suspicious of anyone offering it to you for twenty-five dollars a month.
- And a good-looking estimate does not rescue a bad price or a slow reply. It wins the jobs that were a coin flip, which is a real and worthwhile edge rather than a magic one.
Asked before people buy this.
Do I have to log into another app?
No. It lives on your own site behind your own login, which is the difference between this and paying a separate platform a monthly subscription for the same two documents.
Can customers pay a deposit from the estimate?
Yes. The deposit link sits on the document itself, and the amount comes off the final balance rather than sitting on top of it.
What does it cost?
Branded estimate and invoice PDFs are the Look the part on paper package at $25 a month. That adds to Gold at $80 a month plus a $250 one time build fee, and is included on Diamond at $215 a month.
Will it replace QuickBooks?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. This produces the documents and takes the payment. Bookkeeping is a different job and usually a different tool.
Can I use it if you did not build my website?
Yes. Look the part on paper is one of the four packages that run on a site we did not build.

How to write an estimate that wins the job covers what belongs on the document itself, and how to follow up after sending an estimate covers the ten days afterward, which automated follow-up can run for you. The trade pages for handyman businesses and roofing companies show it in context.
