Nardone,
after dark.

Cucina of the Italian coast. Handmade pasta, coastal seafood, and a cellar drawn from all twenty regions of Italy.

Scroll

Everything at Osteria Nardone begins in Italy and ends at your table. Our pasta is extruded and cut by hand each morning, our fish flown from the Mediterranean twice weekly, and our wine list drawn exclusively from the twenty regions of Italy. This is not fusion, and it is not reinvention. It is the food of the Italian coast, cooked with reverence and served without pretense, in a room built for the kind of dinner you remember for years.

The Chef's Table

A tasting in seven acts.

Our chef's tasting menu is the fullest expression of the kitchen: a seven-course journey down the Italian coast, composed nightly from what arrived that morning. Available for the whole table, with an optional wine pairing from our reserve cellar.

  1. Amuse-bouche of the evening
  2. Crudo di branzino, blood orange
  3. Tagliolini, black winter truffle
  4. Risotto ai frutti di mare
  5. Branzino in crosta, salsa verde
  6. Selection of Italian formaggi
  7. Tiramisù, reimagined

Our Story

A decade of quiet devotion.

For a decade, Chef Jane Doe has run one of Chicago's most quietly celebrated kitchens. Trained in Piedmont and the Amalfi coast before returning home, she built Osteria Nardone around a single conviction: that a great Italian meal is not a performance, but a act of generosity. The result is a restaurant that has earned its reputation the slow way, one unforgettable evening at a time.

Every service is still cooked as though it were the first, and welcomed as though it were the last.

"The tagliolini with truffle is, without exaggeration, one of the finest plates of pasta I have eaten anywhere, including in Italy. The room does the rest."

"Old-world service without a trace of stuffiness. They remembered our name on the second visit and our wine on the third."
