What we do

Heating and cooling for houses in Lake County

Four things make up nearly every call we take. Whichever one you are here for, the diagnostic and the written price work the same way.

Air conditioning repair

Same day for no cooling if you call before three. We find the fault, price it in writing, and fix it on the first visit wherever the part allows.

Diagnostic $89, credited to the repair

Heating and heat pumps

Florida heating is mostly heat pumps and strip heat, and both fail quietly in November. We service, repair and replace all of it.

Service visits from $89

System replacement

When repair stops making sense we size the new system for the house rather than matching the old box, and we tell you what the ductwork needs.

Written quote, no charge

Maintenance and air quality

Two visits a year keeps the coil clean, the drain clear and the capacitor tested before August finds it for you.

Why people call us back

No surprises on the invoice

Most people who call us have been burned once by a number that changed after the work started. These four things are how we make sure that does not happen here.

  • The price is in writing before anything is taken apart, and it does not move unless you approve a change.
  • The same two people come to your house, so nobody arrives needing to be caught up on your system.
  • Workmanship is covered for ninety days. If the same fault comes back inside that window, so do we, at no charge.
  • We will tell you when a repair is the better spend, even when the replacement is the bigger sale.

How a call goes

From the phone call to a working system

No part of this is a surprise, including the bit where you decide whether to go ahead.

01

You call or book

Tell us what the system is doing. We give you a real arrival window, not a whole day.

02

We find the fault

The diagnostic is $89 and it comes off the repair if you go ahead with it.

03

You get the number

In writing, before any work starts, with the repair and the replacement side by side when both are real options.

04

We fix it

On the first visit wherever the part is on the van, which for common failures is most of the time.

Maintenance plan

Two visits a year, and the front of the queue in August

$19a month
  • Two full service visits a year, spring and autumn
  • Priority scheduling in July and August when everybody calls at once
  • No after hours charge, which is the part that pays for it if you work weekdays
Ask about the plan

Repairs are still priced the same as they are for anybody else. The plan buys attention and timing, not a discount built into the repair price to begin with.

What people say afterward

Called at seven in the morning with no cooling and somebody was here before lunch. He showed me the burnt capacitor before he replaced it and the price was what he said on the phone.

D. AlvarezClermont · 2 weeks ago

They told me my sixteen year old unit could be repaired for now and gave me the replacement number as well so I could plan for it. Nobody tried to scare me into buying a system that day.

Questions

Before you book

Do I need a new system, or can this one be fixed?

Age is the honest tiebreaker. Under about ten years, repair almost always wins on cost. Past fifteen, you are usually paying to keep a system alive that will ask again next summer. In between it depends on what failed. We give you both numbers and let you decide with them side by side.

How soon can someone be here?

Same day for no cooling at all if you call before about three in the afternoon, and first thing the next morning if it is later than that. In the first heat wave of the year the whole county calls on the same Monday, and we will tell you the truth about the queue rather than let you sit and wonder.

Do you charge more for evenings and weekends?

After six on weeknights and any time at the weekend adds fifty dollars to the diagnostic. It does not change the price of the repair itself, and on the maintenance plan that charge goes away entirely.

What does the maintenance plan include?

Two visits a year, priority scheduling in July and August, and no after hours charge. On each visit we wash the condenser coil, check the charge, clear the drain line, test the capacitor before it fails, and check the temperature split across the coil.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Florida license CAC1820394, and it is at the bottom of every page on this site so you can look it up without asking us. We carry liability and workers compensation insurance and will send certificates on request.

No cooling right now?

Call and speak to a person. If it is after hours you will still get one, not a machine.
