Bring the trompo to you

Cater your thing.

The whole truck, at your event. Weddings, office parties, quinceañeras, film sets, anything with hungry people. We roll up, feed everyone off the trompo, and become the thing your guests keep bringing up. Taco-bar packages start around $16 per person with a 30-person minimum.

Six years, one recipe

The story.

The Taco Truck started as one man, one borrowed trailer, and a family al pastor recipe that deserved a bigger audience. John Doe spun his first trompo in a church parking lot six years ago, sold out in three hours, and never looked back. The truck runs five days a week around Austin now, still marinating everything overnight, still pressing tortillas to order, still selling out more often than we'd like to admit.

Word on the street

People talk.

Found them on Rainey at midnight and the al pastor genuinely rearranged my priorities. I plan my Fridays around this truck now.

Booked them for our office party. 60 people, zero complaints, which has never once happened with this office.

Good questions.

Where is the truck today?

The live schedule on this page lights up today's spot automatically, with the address and hours. We post any weather changes or sellouts on Instagram @thetacotruck the moment they happen.

Do you take cards?

Cards, tap, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash. The machine works even when the generator is grumpy.

Do you have vegetarian and vegan options?

Really good ones. The Hongos Locos taco, smoked mushrooms with salsa macha, is vegan and outsells half the meats. Use the heat and diet filters on this page to see everything at a glance.

Can you cater our event?

That's half our business. Taco-bar packages start around $16 per person with a 30-person minimum, and the truck can roll up to most venues. Send the form with your date and headcount and we'll confirm within a day.

What if you sell out?

It happens, usually on Fridays. Follow @thetacotruck for real-time sellout posts, and come early for birria, because it never survives the night.
